I have seen children in Dual Language Programs become very caring and giving children. They not only gain self confidence they realize the importance of helping others. They learn to have empathy. I personally like the half day models, one language in the morning and the other in the afternoon. I was a visitor in many schools and I could see by a sign on the door which language was in use. It just is easier for parents to understand and students too. But this is just my own personal opinion.
